Who are we?
Established by property entrepreneur Michael Edmunds, we are an experienced team of mortgage and protection advisors based in Lichfield, Staffordshire.
We have extensive experience in the property and mortgage markets which is why we are regularly referred clients by a number of local estate agents, have access to a wide panel of lenders including high street brands as well as specialist providers, and are passionate about providing a truly personal service to our clients so that they can realise their property dreams.

Meet Michael
Michael understands the property market inside and out and has years of first-hand experience of the stress that arranging a mortgage can cause.
His goal in setting up 2nd City Finance is to provide mortgage advice and support at affordable prices, backed by a truly personal service, which is why his phone is never off.
His extensive relationships and expertise within the market is why clients, estate agents and accountants regularly refer him to their clients.
When he can be dragged away from the business (and his phone) he spends time with his family.
Meet Vicky
Vicky provides administrative support to two of our advisors and has been working within the financial services industry since 1995, for Royal London, supporting a team of advisors based within the branch.
She has more recently worked as a Lettings Manager for a local estate agent and brings considerable knowledge and expertise of the property market with her.
Living locally in Lichfield she spends her time outside of work with her family and enjoying walks with their 2 dogs, and when she manages to find a few minutes to herself enjoys getting her head into a good book.
Meet Sam
Sam brings a wealth of experience in project management and organisation to the team, after working in a number of roles where she was responsible for the prioritisation and management of team workloads.
Her attention to detail, exceptional planning and organisation skills saw her working as a project co-ordinator within the Property department of a food retailer, co-ordinating new store opening projects, major re-fits and commercial initiative projects across the 800+ stores.
She currently provides administrative support to two advisors whilst also doing her most important role of all – being a mum to a 1 year old little girl, she certainly keeps her on her toes!
Meet Jason
Jason has worked in the property sector since leaving school in the early 90’s, initially at an Estate Agency before qualifying as a financial consultant with a direct insurance company.
He then trained as a specialist mortgage consultant and worked for a major building society for 4 years before going out on his own as a self-employed mortgage advisor.
His experience across different areas of the property market and determination to provide a first class service to his clients is evident in his role as a mortgage and protection advisor hear at 2nd City Finance.
Married with 2 daughters and 2 dogs he spends his free time mountain biking and walking with the family, or enjoying his other 2 loves; music and football holding a season ticket at Wolves FC.
Meet Adrian
Adrian is one of our protection specialists. Adrian has 5 years of experience in recruitment and on-site management. He’s got good attention to detail and plenty of experience in customer service.
He currently lives with his fiancé. On his time off he enjoys travelling with his fiancé and playing table tennis.
Our fees and charges vary depending on the Services we provide to you. Our typical fee is £299. We will also be paid commission from the lender.

Our fees and charges vary depending on the Services we provide to you. Our typical fee for mortgage advice is £495 which is payable on application. For more complex cases such as debt consolidation and adverse credit mortgages the maximum you can expect to pay would be £1,250. We also receive a commission from the lender which whom your mortgage has been placed.
